Domain Theft Protection

Your domains registered through us are automatically protected from theft. Domain Theft Protection feature helps ensure that your domain name remains safe from illegal domain name transfers. Enabling Theft Protection on your domain name will result in a Transfer Away Request for this domain name to another Registrar to fail at the Registry itself. You get a facility in your control panel to Disable this feature when you wish to genuinely initiate the process to transfer away your domain to another registrar.

Note:

This feature is not available for the following TLDs (domain name extensions) on account of restrictions imposed by the Registry:

• .EU
• .UK
• .NZ
• .WEB.IN

Domain Lock

Apart from enabling Theft protection for your domain name, you can also place a Lock on it. Applying a Lock on your domain protects it from accidental modification of name servers and contact details.

The Lock feature is not supported for domain names under the following extensions, due to restrictions imposed by the Registry or other restrictions:

• .EU
• .UK
• .NZ
• .WEB.IN
