General Hosting Queries

Will you advertise on my website?

We offer premium hosting and will never advertise on your website. Hosting companies that advertise on your website are often cheap, but provide very low quality service. Websites using this kind of service look very unprofessional and have very slow bandwidth connections.

Do your servers have battery backups and generators?

Each server is protected by an uninterruptible power supply system. In the rare case of a power outage, auto-start generators take over and supply all necessary power to the servers. This system ensures your website is always up and running, regardless of power conditions.

What kind of servers do you use?

We provide shared hosting space on Dual Core Xeon Processors with 4 GB of RAM and a 100mbps uplink with a RAID10 drive array for instant data mirroring and fast drive access. Our Linux servers run on CentOS Linux which is identical to Red Hat Enterprise Linux. Our Windows servers run Microsoft Windows 2003 Server.

Do you maintain website backups?

We carry out weekly backups on some servers only. We do not carry out any backup on our windows server. In the rare event of a hard drive failure, we can instantly restore your entire account if it is on our linux server. However, this may not be possible on our windows server. Hence, we strongly advise that you implement your own method to take regular backups of your website files, emails and important data that changes, on a daily basis.

Can I upgrade my plan at a later date?

We offer the flexibility of allowing customers to upgrade plans at anytime. You can purchase additional bandwidth or disk space. This way, your account can meet the demands of your website, as it expands and / or increases traffic.

Do I have to register my domain with you?

We offer domain registration service as well, but you do not have to register your domain with us. We can host any domain, with any registrar. We encourage you to register your domain with whom you choose.

Can you host international domains?

We can host any domain, of any country. That's right, we can host any and all domain names. This includes domains with any and all TLDs. If you do not know what a TLD is, an example would be the .com or .net or .in part of a domain name. There's not a domain that we can't host!

Can I use my own CGI and PHP scripts?

While we do provide many pre-installed scripts, you can still upload any of your own scripts. You can purchase scripts from many online developers or write your own. Regardless, you can upload any scripts that you may own. However, most popular scripts are pre-installed or easily installable from your hosting control panel with the click of a few buttons.

I already have a domain name, what do I do?

Since you already have a domain name, simply enter it during the ordering process. Then, you will simply need to change your domain's name servers with your current domain registrar, which is a free service provided by nearly all domain registration service providers.
